Article 1. Definitions<\/b><\/p>

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:<\/span><\/p>

  • MenoWiser: the sole proprietorship \/ business activity operated by Suzanne Rethans, registered at Hanenpad 48, 1501 WD Zaandam, the Netherlands, Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 52471268<\/span><\/li>
  • Client: the individual who purchases a consultation or other service from MenoWiser<\/span><\/li>
  • Consultation: an individual guidance session concerning perimenopausal symptoms and health<\/span><\/li>
  • Agreement: the agreement between MenoWiser and the Client for the provision of a service<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Article 2. Nature of the services<\/b><\/p>

    MenoWiser provides guidance and recommendations to women experiencing perimenopausal symptoms, using a neuroendocrine approach that integrates hormones, the brain, genetics and lifestyle.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    MenoWiser is not a registered medical practice and does not provide medical diagnoses. MenoWiser\u2019s recommendations are based on specialist knowledge and experience but are not a substitute for consultation with a GP, gynaecologist or other registered healthcare professional. Clients are expressly advised to discuss medical recommendations with their treating physician.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    For the prescription of hormone therapy, MenoWiser works in collaboration with registered physicians. MenoWiser itself does not prescribe medication.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 3. Formation of the Agreement<\/b><\/p>

    The Agreement is formed when the Client books a consultation online and confirms their acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, or when MenoWiser confirms an appointment to the Client in writing.<\/span><\/p>

    Article 4. Fees and payment<\/b><\/p>

    Current consultation fees are published on the MenoWiser website (menowiser.com). All fees include VAT unless otherwise stated.<\/span><\/p>

    Payment must be made before the consultation via iDEAL or another payment method offered on the website. If payment is not received on time, the appointment will not be confirmed.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 5. Cancellation and rescheduling<\/b><\/p>

    An appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled consultation, either by email or through the client portal.<\/span><\/p>

    If an appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled consultation, or if the Client fails to attend the appointment, 100% of the consultation fee will be charged.<\/span><\/p>

    MenoWiser reserves the right to reschedule a consultation in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including illness or technical issues. In such cases, the Client will be informed as soon as possible and a new appointment will be arranged.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 6. Intake and exchange of information<\/b><\/p>

    Before the first consultation, the Client will receive a digital intake form, which must be completed in full prior to the consultation.\n\nDeliberately withholding relevant medical information may adversely affect the quality of the recommendations provided. MenoWiser accepts no liability for recommendations insofar as they are based on incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the Client.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    The Client may be asked to provide laboratory results, DNA reports or medical records. These must be submitted through the secure client record environment and not by ordinary email.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 7. Liability<\/b><\/p>

    MenoWiser will use all reasonable care and skill to provide high-quality recommendations based on current scientific knowledge and extensive clinical experience. However, MenoWiser does not guarantee any specific outcome or result. Hormonal and metabolic responses vary between individuals and may be unpredictable.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    MenoWiser\u2019s liability is limited to the amount paid out under its professional liability insurance in the relevant case or, where no insurance payment is made, to the amount paid by the Client for the consultation concerned.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    MenoWiser is not liable for loss or damage resulting from following recommendations without consulting a registered healthcare professional, or from failing to follow recommendations as discussed during the consultation.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 8. Confidentiality and privacy<\/b><\/p>

    MenoWiser treats all information shared by the Client as strictly confidential.\n\nThe processing of personal data is governed by MenoWiser\u2019s Privacy Policy, available at menowiser.com\/privacyverklaring.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 9. Complaints<\/b><\/p>

    Complaints regarding MenoWiser\u2019s services may be submitted in writing to info@menowiser.com.\n\nMenoWiser will provide a substantive response to the complaint within four weeks and will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter through consultation with the Client.<\/span><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Article 10. Governing law<\/b><\/p>
